2. Unicorn Facepaint

Speaking of dress up, makeup is an easy way to get creative without buying a costume. You can buy a pack of facepaint at Walmart or Amazon and create dozens of fun ways to express your magical self. Here are a few stunning unicorn designs to get you started. Check out Suzy Salazers Magic Paint Facebook page to see more incredible professional face painting.

If you need a step by step, Michael’s stores got your back. They got the paint too!

3. Unicorn Masquerade Mask Printables

Ok, we’re never done with dress-up. 123Kidsfun has some super cute masks you can print for your kids. These are the perfect size for little faces. They have four adorable Unicorn Masks on this page, among many others you might like to try. Two are in color and two are black and white so you can color yourself. Well, you know I had to print one. Here it is in pink. I didn’t have elastic so I taped on some pretty pink yarn to the sides. Some tips. When printing, choose the fit-to-page setting on your print screen. You have to go slowly to cut precisely around the curves and it’s a little difficult to cut inside the eyes. I ended up using an Xacto knife. You may want to cut these out for your littlest darlings.

5. Unicorn Slime

POOP! 😀 What would a unicorn post be without rainbow poop? Incomplete I tell ya. So it must be. I have found the best-looking Unicorn Slime. Amy shows us how to make it perfectly. YOu need glue, shaving cream, food coloring, and borax to remove some of the sticky. She gives a few other options if you don’t have any borax powder. Amy is one of those ladys with loads of style and a creative brain that’s borderline heroic. If you’re looking for party ideas, she just might save the day. Watch her make poop. Then head on over to her website to get the recipe.

6. Easy Paper Plate Unicorns

Looking for an inexpensive ‘now’ craft that’s fast and easy for all the kids to come together and enjoy. Save those paper plates for some unicorn fun. Kim over at Two Kids and a Coupon has the perfect solution. I love this one because I so clearly remember the satisfaction of punching holes with a hole puncher when I was a kid. And I also love the simplicity of using household items for crafts. If you don’t have googly eyes, maybe you can use buttons or pennies (however I think the googly eyes really make this way way cuter). If you’re not a big yarn family, maybe you have string or even ribbon in your Christmas wrapping supplies. The kind you curl with a scissors! This coupon-wielding mom knows how to be frugal. Look around on her site at all the great ideas she has to keep the family busy on a budget.

7. Popsicle Stick Unicorn

Heres another super easy craft to do with your kids that turned out so cute. Shruti at the Artsy Craftsy Mom blog came up with this simply glamorous design that your kids can do. What puts this over the top is all the bling. Her golden glitter paper and rhinestone adornments really make this cute. You only need a few supplies to keep your kids entertained. I would love taking this project to the next level. With a character like this, they could easily put on a puppet show. They could write a story, design a few other characters like this and even make a stage out of an old box. The sky’s the limit for imagination and a simple design like this. Take a look around her site for some more excellent craft ideas and I’m crazy about her printables. Shruti truly IS an arts and crafts diva!

8. Toilet Tube Unicorn

It wouldn’t be a complete kids’ craft list without a toilet tube. This simple little design came out so cute and your kids are gonna love putting this together and making magic with their new unicorn friends. This is a great idea from the MerakiMother site. I searched around the site until found the meaning of Meraki and I just love it. Meraki means “When you leave a piece of yourself, your soul, creativity, and love in what you do. To put a little bit of yourself into something”. I believe that with all of my heart. I also believe others can sense the love you put into your work as well and could be the reason why some people are drawn to it. So put a little love into these cute little Unicorn tubes. 😀

9. Unicorn Puppets

PUPPETS! NOW we’re talkin’ fun. Did you know that you can make a puppet with one piece of paper? And this unicorn is so cute you’ll want to make a bunch. I feel like what pushes this puppet over the edge again is the bling! Give it a shot. Looks like it only takes a few minutes to fold it up and a few minutes more to make the horn and the flowers.

10. Paper Bag Unicorn Puppet

Heres another puppet but made even quicker with a paper bag base. Sam over at Simple Everyday Mom makes it so easy with her printable design, which is just the absolute cutest. You’ll need to enter your email in the form at the end of the post to get the template but it’s well worth it. Sams is a really talented artist and offers SO many cute crafts and activities on her website. Make sure to take a look around.
